Chad, Cameroon, and CAR Collaborate on Trans-Cameroonian Corridor in N’Djamena
N’Djamena is currently hosting the 5th tripartite forum, which commenced on Monday, May 11, 2026. This significant gathering brings together delegations from Chad, Cameroon, and the Central African Republic (CAR) to address crucial issues concerning transit and sub-regional trade.
The forum’s official launch was marked by the presence of key figures, including Major General Ousman Brahim Djouma, Director General of Customs and Indirect Duties of Chad. He was joined by numerous customs and port officials, alongside prominent economic operators representing all three participating nations.
Presiding over the inaugural ceremony was Fatimé Goukouni Weddeye, the Minister of Transport, Civil Aviation, and National Meteorology, highlighting the high-level commitment to the discussions.
Throughout this important meeting, participants are diligently working to analyze and overcome the various obstacles that impede the efficient flow of goods along the vital Trans-Cameroonian Corridor. The collective ambition is to streamline transit procedures, foster stronger customs cooperation, and ultimately invigorate commercial exchanges across the sub-region, paving the way for enhanced economic integration and prosperity.
