The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)’s Deputy Director, Christopher Raia, recently visited the International Police Cooperation Center (IPCC). This crucial hub brings together representatives from law enforcement agencies and security services of all nations participating in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.
This visit forms an integral part of the comprehensive, high-level security framework established for all matches throughout the global tournament. During his engagement, the American official held a dedicated meeting with representatives from the Moroccan Directorate General of National Security (DGSN) and the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST).
Christopher Raia extended his profound gratitude to Morocco for its active participation in securing the event and its invaluable contributions across all phases of the tournament. He emphasized that the FBI views the Kingdom as a highly dependable partner, possessing internationally recognized expertise and credibility.

Addressing representatives of foreign security services at the IPCC, the FBI Deputy Director underscored the critical importance of international partnership and multilateral cooperation in intelligence sharing for the security apparatus of the World Cup, which the United States is co-hosting.
He further highlighted the immense challenge of securing 78 matches over a period spanning nearly two weeks. Raia affirmed that achieving this ambitious objective would be impossible without robust and seamless international collaboration.
Christopher Raia also pointed to an observable increase in the number of threats successfully thwarted by American authorities within their borders. He attributed this positive development directly to the precision of intelligence shared and the consistent support provided by partner nations.
