Paris Saint-Germain close to securing 25m€ deal for rising star Aleksey Batrakov

Fresh from their triumphant Champions League campaign, Paris Saint-Germain is already making significant moves behind the scenes to bolster its squad. The Parisian giants appear on the verge of finalizing their first major summer acquisition, with a deal for Russian talent Aleksey Batrakov reportedly advancing rapidly, estimated at around €25 million.

Following their impressive Champions League final victory against Arsenal, PSG is swiftly shifting its focus to the upcoming season. A primary objective in the current transfer window is to inject fresh talent into the roster without disrupting the existing core. In line with Paris Saint-Germain’s strategy of investing in promising young prospects, Aleksey Batrakov now seems incredibly close to signing with the French club. Dmitry Cheltsov, an agent with deep insights into the Russian football market, suggests there is a 95% probability that the offensive midfielder from Lokomotiv Moscow will soon arrive in the French capital.

Is Batrakov on the verge of joining PSG?

Batrakov is almost certainly (95%) heading to Paris. Officials from both PSG and Lokomotiv have already held numerous telephone discussions. This week, ending today, will see [Luis] Campos travel to Moscow to try and finalize the transfer. For this deal to fall through, it would require an unforeseen major event. The transfer fee is projected to be €25 million, with a salary package of approximately €5 or €6 million annually. The transfer is anticipated to be completed within the next two weeks,” I was informed during an interview on the European Review broadcast via the Comment.Show channel.

“Batrakov is almost certain to join PSG”

Andrey Nagibin, who previously coached Aleksey Batrakov within Lokomotiv Moscow‘s youth system, corroborated the ongoing negotiations with PSG. “To my knowledge, discussions with PSG are indeed taking place. He certainly possesses the attributes to perform at the highest level. However, many aspects will need to change. The standard of the French league surpasses that of Russia… I believe numerous factors must align for Batrakov to secure a regular starting position. Yet, we have the example of Safonov: he arrived as a backup goalkeeper but seized his opportunity and became a starter. I recently met with Alexey, and we spoke about this; he is eager to test himself at PSG. I wished him the best of luck and hope everything progresses smoothly,” Nagibin shared in an interview with Championat.
