Mankono, Côte d’Ivoire – The Rassemblement des Houphouëtistes pour la démocratie et la paix (RHDP) in Mankono, encompassing both the commune and sub-prefecture, recently concluded its political re-entry on July 17 and 18, 2026. This significant event centered on a comprehensive review of the 2025 elections, dedicated training sessions for party activists, and a concerted effort to reinvigorate the grassroots structures of the presidential party.
Cissé Namory, the departmental secretary for RHDP, whose political jurisdiction spans the Mankono commune and sub-prefecture, emphatically reiterated the commitment of party members in the Béré region to fortify the ruling party’s influence and presence.
While celebrating the RHDP’s decisive victory in the latest legislative elections within his political department, secured by Deputy Salimata Fofana épouse Méité, Cissé Namory also expressed regret over instances of indiscipline among some activists. He suggested that such behaviors might have, at times, received tacit support from certain party executives.
“We bear a fundamental duty of sincerity towards our activists to safeguard the cohesion and effectiveness of our political endeavors,” he declared, urging for enhanced discipline and unwavering unity within the RHDP ranks.
The political re-entry unfolded across two distinct phases. The inaugural day featured a thought-provoking seminar titled: “Drawing lessons from the recent ballot and charting the course for the new activist cycle.”
During this session, Pr Soro David, the deputy national secretary responsible for RHDP’s political structures, delivered a compelling presentation on “The contribution of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 to the advancement of the Béré region.”
Professor Soro highlighted the substantial achievements recorded in Béré under the PND 2021-2025, before outlining the promising prospects offered by the forthcoming PND 2026-2030. “The Béré region has greatly benefited from the PND 2021-2025 and stands to gain even more with the PND 2026-2030,” he affirmed, detailing various planned projects across key sectors such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure development.
Professor Soro further commended the steadfast commitment of regional leaders and citizens who stand alongside President Alassane Ouattara. He emphasized that their active involvement serves as a crucial catalyst for Béré’s ongoing development and the strengthening of governmental initiatives throughout this vital part of the nation.
