Babacar Ba, serving as president of the Forum du Justiciable, has categorically rejected any attempts to establish a connection between Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko and the ongoing Ndiaga Seck case, which involves alleged acts against nature.

In a recent public statement, Ba articulated that Prime Minister Sonko, as the nation’s head of government, “embodies the very essence of governmental institutions.” He asserted that any deliberate efforts aimed at “tarnishing his reputation” or “casting doubt on his character” are entirely unacceptable. The president of the Forum du Justiciable firmly believes that the arrest of Ndiaga Seck should not be exploited as a pretext to associate him with the Prime Minister, particularly with the intention to undermine his credibility.

Ba further underscored that such maneuvers, in his view, directly contravene the fundamental tenets of the rule of law and should therefore not be tolerated within Senegal’s public discourse. His strong reaction comes amidst continued public commentary and diverse viewpoints surrounding the high-profile Ndiaga Seck affair.
