Matar Ndiaga Seck, a close associate of Senegal’s Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, was taken into custody by the Criminal Investigations Division (DIC) following a warrant issued by the Linguère police station.
The arrest comes amid an ongoing inquiry into the detention of 22 individuals in the Djoloff region, suspected of involvement in acts deemed against nature. Investigators have cited “concordant evidence” that links Mr. Seck to the case, prompting his immediate apprehension.
