The Burkina Faso international, Arsène Kouassi, is poised to leave FC Lorient after delivering two goals and eight assists in 31 appearances this season. The left-back’s impressive performances have sparked intense interest from multiple European clubs, with his next destination still uncertain.
Over the past month, several top-tier teams have entered negotiations with Lorient for the 25-year-old defender. German giants Bayer Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart, along with Eintracht Frankfurt, Genoa in Italy, and AS Roma have all expressed serious intentions of securing his signature.
Kouassi’s potential move mirrors that of his fellow countryman, Dango Ouattara, who recently joined AFC Bournemouth—also under the same ownership as Lorient. Should the Swiss forward depart for England, Kouassi could step in to fill his role in the squad.
The Burkina Faso star’s market value has surged, with estimates now placing him at €15 million. With just days remaining before the transfer window closes, the likelihood of him wearing Lorient’s colors next season appears increasingly slim.
