The government has formally announced a series of decrees initiating competitive examinations, direct recruitments, professional contests, and selection tests to fill these vacancies.
For the 2026 fiscal year, the State of Cameroon’s public service is set to fill a total of 2,305 positions across various government ministries and departments. Joseph LE, the Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reform, commenced this recruitment drive on June 4 by publishing the participation guidelines through 36 distinct decrees. In an accompanying informational note, the government official outlined the comprehensive distribution of these available posts.
Initially, for conventional recruitment channels, 890 opportunities are available. This includes 470 positions through direct competitive examinations, targeting professionals in financial regulatory bodies, agriculture, mining and geology, civil engineering, livestock and maritime fisheries, telecommunications, and public health. Additionally, 100 places are designated for training competitions at the Institut National de la Jeunesse et des Sports (INJS) and the Centres Nationaux de la Jeunesse et des Sports (CENAJES). The École Nationale d’Administration et de la Magistrature (ENAM) will offer 220 training positions, while 100 places will be filled via selection tests.
