An early morning collision between a heavy-duty truck and a motorcyclist in Koundoul, on the outskirts of N’Djamena, turned fatal when flames engulfed the scene. The impact left the rider lifeless on the asphalt, his motorcycle and body consumed by fire after a fuel canister ruptured and ignited upon hitting the ground.

Witnesses described the violent crash as instantaneous, with the truck striking the motorcyclist with such force that the vehicle was propelled several meters away. The presence of the flammable liquid only exacerbated the tragedy, turning what could have been a tragic but contained accident into a devastating blaze.
