N’Djamena’s 10th arrondissement sees major security sweep, 447 arrests

A combined security effort in N’Djamena led to the confiscation of illicit weapons and the apprehension of 447 individuals. Minister Ali Ahmat Aghabache lauded the dedication of the security forces.

Security forces recently executed a comprehensive sweep and search operation across N’Djamena’s 10th arrondissement. This extensive initiative saw the deployment of personnel from the National Gendarmerie, the National Police, the GNNT, and various other specialized units.

The operation was conducted under the direct oversight of Police Controller General Tougoud Digo Maïdé and Major General Djiddo Mahamat Haggar. Public Security Minister Ali Ahmat Aghabache was also present, observing the rigorous execution of the mission.

The coordinated effort yielded significant results, including the confiscation of multiple illicit weapons and several vehicles operating without proper documentation. Furthermore, authorities apprehended 165 foreign nationals found to be without legal residency status, alongside 282 Chadian citizens who were unable to produce valid identification documents, bringing the total number of individuals taken into custody to 447.

Following the successful conclusion of the operation, Minister Ali Ahmat Aghabache publicly commended the participating security forces for their exemplary professionalism and dedication throughout the exercise.
