new air route links Chad and Libya’s Benghazi
Chad and Libya are advancing bilateral ties with plans for a direct air link between N’Djamena and Benghazi to boost economic and consular cooperation.
On July 13, 2026, Libya’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdelhadi Al-Houij, hosted Mr. Hassan Ahmat Daissire, Chad’s Consul General in Benghazi, alongside Mr. Aboubakar Sidick Mahamat Abagana, Consular Attaché. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations across consular services, trade, transportation, and communications. A proposed direct air route between N’Djamena and Benghazi emerged as a key initiative to enhance mobility and exchange.
