This stance was conveyed during a meeting between the elected President and Morocco’s Ambassador to Peru, Amin Chaoudri, who presented a congratulatory message from His Majesty King Mohammed VI following her election as the country’s leader.

The office of the President-elect emphasized that the upcoming Peruvian government will uphold Morocco’s territorial integrity and its sovereignty over its southern provinces. Keiko Fujimori also reaffirmed her full endorsement of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2797, which recognizes the autonomy plan as the foundation for a lasting solution to the regional dispute over the Sahara.

In his message, the Moroccan Monarch extended warm congratulations to Ms. Fujimori on the trust placed in her by the Peruvian people to advance progress and prosperity. The King also highlighted the strong, friendly ties between Morocco and Peru, rooted in mutual respect and shared values, and expressed his commitment to working alongside the Peruvian President to elevate bilateral relations to a multidimensional partnership for the benefit of both nations.
