The president of Senegal’s Pastef party, Ousmane Sonko, expressed profound sorrow following the passing of Serigne Cheikh Saliou Mbacké, a revered spiritual figure who played a pivotal role in his life. « Indeed, we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return. A father, a friend, a confidant, and a guide has left us,» Sonko reflected, emphasizing the deep personal connection he shared with the departed marabout.
