In the Lake province, where tensions have escalated following recent Boko Haram assaults, women have taken a united stand. Members of the Provincial Women’s Network gathered in Baga-Sola on May 22, 2026, to voice unwavering support for national defense and security forces while urging solidarity against the looming terrorist threat.
Led by Ms. Achta Adoum Abdoulaye, Chair of the Provincial Women’s Network, a delegation of local women met with Brigadier General Saleh Haggar Tidjani, the Government Delegate to the Lake province. Their mission was simple yet powerful: to publicly reaffirm full moral, logistical, and material backing for the troops battling Boko Haram.
Addressing officials, Ms. Achta Adoum Abdoulaye praised the tireless efforts of administrative and military authorities in restoring security and stability across the province. She forcefully condemned the terrorist strikes that have claimed the lives of several defense personnel, offering heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and the people of Chad.
To turn words into action, the women’s delegation presented food supplies to the frontline forces actively engaged in counterinsurgency operations.
In response, Brigadier General Saleh Haggar Tidjani commended the women’s display of patriotism, emphasizing the indispensable role women play in fostering community resilience, social cohesion, and the fight against violent extremism.
