Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno delivered a resolute statement following the latest attack by Boko Haram: “We will continue our fight with renewed determination until this threat is completely eliminated”. His remarks came in response to an assault carried out by an affiliate of the Islamist militant group on the Barka Tolorom military base, situated on the Chadian side of Lake Chad. The attack resulted in 24 fatalities among Chadian soldiers.
