The Kazakh delegation, led by Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Alibek Kuantyrov, concluded high-level meetings in Rabat emphasizing the importance of direct trade and investment partnerships with Morocco.

During a press briefing following discussions with Ryad Mezzour, Morocco’s Minister of Industry and Trade, Kuantyrov highlighted the mutual benefits of strengthening direct commercial links between the two nations.

The Kazakh government is particularly interested in importing Moroccan goods—including processed foods, textiles, and high-value agricultural products—directly to ensure quality standards and competitive pricing.

In return, Kazakhstan aims to significantly boost its exports of wheat, refined products, and other commodities to Morocco, leveraging its abundant natural resources to support the Kingdom’s food security and economic resilience.

Both sides underscored their shared commitment to fostering deeper economic cooperation, with Kazakhstan offering strategic resources such as natural gas, cereals, and livestock products that align with Morocco’s development priorities.

Minister Mezzour emphasized that these exchanges could help stabilize Morocco’s food supply chains, reduce consumer costs, and enhance purchasing power across the country.

The delegations agreed to pursue a structured roadmap for sustainable bilateral trade, focusing on long-term partnerships that enhance supply chain security and attract mutual investments.
