The Moroccan government is stepping up efforts to secure the substantial funding needed for the Atlantic African Gas Pipeline (GAA), a landmark cross-border energy initiative developed in collaboration with Nigeria. Rabat has formally approached the World Bank and the U.S. Export-Import Bank to mobilize the required $26 billion in financing, according to a statement from the Moroccan ambassador to the United States, Youssef Amrani.
