The Moroccan government is accelerating efforts to secure the necessary funds for the Atlantic African Gas Pipeline (GAA), a joint project with Nigeria. Rabat has initiated high-level discussions with the U.S. Export-Import Bank (US Exim Bank) and the World Bank to secure a $26 billion financing package, according to Youssef Amrani, Morocco’s Ambassador to the United States.
