New eu ambassador to Chad formally begins three-year mission

A significant diplomatic moment unfolded on May 19 as Amador Sanchez Rico, the newly appointed European Union Ambassador, formally presented his credentials to President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno.

The esteemed Toumaï Palace served as the venue for this pivotal ceremony. Among the dignitaries present was Fatimé Aldjineh Garfa, Minister Delegate to the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, overseeing African Integration and Chadians Abroad. Ambassador Sanchez Rico was supported by Sona Jarosova, who heads the political section, and Karl Rawert, chief of cooperation for the European Union delegation in Chad.
