In a series of coordinated assaults between July 12 and 15, at least twenty residents lost their lives in three separate incidents reported near Beni, within the North Kivu province. Eyewitness accounts attribute these raids to militants from the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), who deliberately targeted civilian neighborhoods, reducing numerous homes to ashes and forcing survivors to abandon their dwellings in search of safety.
