On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, Faure Gnassingbé, President of Togo, paid an official visit to Kampala, Uganda, where he attended the swearing-in ceremony of Yoweri Museveni, who was re-elected in the January 15 general elections.
The event, themed “Safeguarding achievements and advancing toward upper-middle-income status”, brought together African heads of state alongside delegations from Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
