Bayern Munich president shuts door on Michael Olise transfer to Real Madrid

After a trophyless campaign, Real Madrid are looking to reinforce their squad this summer to avoid a repeat. Several names have been linked with the Madrid club, including Michael Olise. However, Bayern Munich have issued a new statement that could cool the hopes of the Spanish giants.

Real Madrid have still not come to terms with their barren season. The Madrid side intend to avoid a similar scenario next campaign and thus plan to strengthen the squad under José Mourinho. Names have multiplied in recent weeks, including that of Michael Olise. The 24-year-old, currently playing in the 2026 World Cup with the France national team, has shone for Bayern Munich. The Bavarians have now directly responded to the Merengue regarding a potential transfer of the French international.

“We are not a selling club”

“As I have already said, if Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez had an offer in mind, he can save himself the trouble because we do not want to sell Michael Olise. Bayern Munich maintains excellent relations with Real Madrid, and therefore they contacted me to say, firstly, that they have absolutely no contact with Michael Olise, and secondly, that they do not want these constant speculations in the media. He is a Bayern Munich player and has a long-term contract. And we are not a selling club,” responded Herbert Hainer, president of Bayern Munich.

Another rejection for Real Madrid in the transfer market
