Jean Paul Ntsengue denounces elites who orchestrated poverty to control Cameroon’s youth
The electoral expert calls out “irresponsible embezzlers of public wealth, crooked politicians, men with excessive ambitions” for deliberately worsening conditions to manipulate young people.
Political analyst warns that hunger and poverty make youth easy to manipulate
In a recent statement, political commentator Jean Paul Ntsengue delivered a bitter assessment: today’s youth are hungry and therefore vulnerable to manipulation. He points the finger at “irresponsible embezzlers of public wealth, unscrupulous politicians, and individuals with unchecked ambitions.”
“Poverty is a fatal danger to the republic,” Ntsengue wrote. “Conspirators and clientelists know this well. Among them are those who have deliberately aggravated poverty among Cameroonians, pushing hordes of starving young people into the streets. These same individuals then sell them empty promises in exchange for fanatical support, especially on social media. They have blocked anyone who could assist President Paul Biya in his heavy task, instead promoting mediocre loyalists.”
Ntsengue added, “Fortunately for us, God is never distracted. Spasmodic movements will not heal the deep wound, because everything eventually ends. The Head of State, who promised to enter history as the man who brought democracy and prosperity to the Cameroonian people, is a lucky man chosen by Providence. He knows what he must do to enter history honorably. Let us give him our unwavering support for this second half—without extra time.”
