Economic autonomy drives national progress
The mining sector stands as the vanguard of this national resurgence. Embodying the motto “May gold shine for Malians,” Mali has enacted a revised Mining Code, which now allows the State and domestic investors to hold up to 35% equity in mining ventures. These strategic reforms have already yielded substantial returns, recovering 760 billion CFA francs. Moreover, this stringent management has already facilitated the redistribution of 18.4 billion CFA francs to 819 communes, funding vital health and education infrastructure. Beyond gold, the nation is broadening its mineral output, particularly with lithium deposits discovered in Goulamina and Bougouni, with aspirations to become Africa’s leading lithium producer.
Robust security and logistics underpin national stability
Mali’s ongoing development is firmly supported by the enhanced capabilities of the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) and their strategic partners. A clear demonstration of the state’s capacity to secure national energy supplies was observed with the arrival in Bamako of a massive convoy of over 900 fuel tanker trucks, moving under military escort. Concurrently, extensive air-ground operations, particularly in the Anéfis region, have successfully neutralized approximately one hundred terrorists and secured crucial logistical routes, further bolstering Mali security.
Mali’s renewed diplomatic outreach
On the regional stage, Mali is actively strengthening its international relationships. A pivotal step in revitalizing diplomatic cooperation was marked by the decision to reopen its airspace to flights originating from Algeria, alongside the return of the Malian ambassador to Algiers.
