PASTEF-Les Patriotes recently concluded an impactful two-day political tour across the Jolof region. This extensive outreach saw party leaders traverse all 19 communes within the Linguère department, making stops in key localities such as Dahra, Barkédji, Sagatta, and Yang-Yang. The significant mobilization featured the party’s prominent figure, Ousmane Sonko, alongside Minister of State Habib Sy, and numerous national executives and allies from the coalition.
The tour’s agenda included crucial engagements with local religious and traditional authorities, fostering dialogue and strengthening community ties. Simultaneously, party officials connected directly with grassroots structures, including vibrant youth movements, women’s groups, and professional cadres. Following these comprehensive interactions, the local party leadership unveiled its strategic roadmap, outlining future initiatives and objectives. A major highlight was the official inauguration of the departmental headquarters, signaling a new phase in the party’s local presence.
With the new headquarters now operational and the distribution of membership cards underway, PASTEF is actively pursuing a strategy to deepen its territorial integration. This involves a direct, proximity-based approach, engaging with residents in the diverse villages and neighborhoods across the department. Beyond internal organization, local political leaders are extending an open invitation, urging militants, sympathizers, and political actors from other affiliations to join their overarching vision for regional development.
