Ousmane Sonko conveyed his deep sadness following the death of Serigne Abdou Bakhi Mbacké, Khalife of the Khassim Mbacké family in Guinguinéo, who passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026.

In a heartfelt message of condolence, the National Assembly leader honored the memory of the religious guide, recalling their numerous meetings during his visits to Guinguinéo.

“With profound emotion and great sadness, I learned of the passing of Serigne Abdou Bakhi Mbacké, Khalife of the Khassim Mbacké family in Guinguinéo,” he stated.

“On each occasion, he extended a special affection, a warm welcome, and kindness that left a lasting impression on us,” Ousmane Sonko reflected.
