The Chad National Bureau of Land Freight (BNFT), alongside freight authorities in Cameroon and the Central African Republic, has finalized a landmark digitalization agreement to transform Central African trade corridors by 2030.

Revolutionizing regional trade logistics

This pact is designed to overhaul goods transport and transit systems, streamlining cross-border commerce across the subregion. By digitizing transit procedures, the three nations aim to create a more efficient, secure, and transparent logistics framework. The initiative targets smoother customs processes, reduced delays, and enhanced cargo safety—key factors for boosting economic integration.

Saleh Youssouf Erda, Director-General of the BNFT, emphasized the pact’s significance in today’s digital-first economy. « This agreement embodies our shared commitment to modern logistics and accelerated corridor digitalization. We live in a digital era—this transformation will secure goods and streamline operations like never before, » he stated.

Central African Republic’s transport ministry representative highlighted the pact’s development through extensive stakeholder consultations. « The agreement will drastically cut administrative delays and bolster cargo security, reinforcing trust in regional trade, » they noted.
