Cameroon’s private sector shapes 2027 budget proposals

The Cameroon Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Crafts (Ccima) convened private sector representatives on June 24, 2026, to elaborate proposals for the preparation of the 2027 finance law.
This critical consultation aimed to gather, analyze, and harmonize the concerns of various economic operators in Cameroon before anticipated discussions with the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI). Central to these deliberations were key areas such as enhancing the national tax system, boosting enterprise competitiveness, and improving the overall attractiveness of the business environment. Following intensive work, approximately twenty distinct proposals were successfully formulated.
This proactive approach underscores a commitment to strengthening public-private dialogue and fostering a taxation framework that is more accurately aligned with the dynamic realities of Cameroon’s economy.
