Côte d’Ivoire’s economic future: investors rally behind PND 2026-2030 in Abidjan

Abidjan, July 9, 2026 – The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to investors, kicked off today at the Sofitel Hotel Ivoire in Abidjan under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.

The Prime Minister emphasized that this session marks a pivotal moment in mobilizing private investments essential for driving Côte d’Ivoire’s ambitious development goals. “Today represents another milestone in our collective effort to foster investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation,” he stated. “We are thrilled to welcome over 700 investors from friendly nations who have gathered to explore opportunities in our thriving economy.”

Addressing a packed audience of business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives, the Head of Government highlighted the significance of this platform as a bridge between public policy and private sector ambition. “Your participation here today underscores the trust you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth trajectory,” he remarked. “You are not just investors—you are key partners in transforming our nation into a more competitive, job-creating economy.”

The Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. With an average annual growth rate of 6.5% over recent years, he reassured attendees that the country’s resilient economy, adaptable to global shifts, remains one of Africa’s most dynamic. “This is a market on the rise,” he declared. “The initiatives launched today will accelerate investments in strategic sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030—industrialization, local raw material processing, infrastructure development, digital innovation, logistics, and human capital investment.”

He further noted that the first day of the Consultative Group, focused on institutional partners and development strategy presentations, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire itself.

Leading industry voices echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), alongside Mehdi Tazi of Morocco’s General Confederation of Enterprises (CGEM) and Mohamed Gouled of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s vision. “We are fully prepared to contribute meaningfully to the PND 2026-2030 through substantial financial commitments,” they affirmed.
