The second day of Côte d’Ivoire’s National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, exclusively dedicated to investors, kicked off on July 9, 2026, at the Abidjan Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire. Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé presided over the event, emphasizing the critical role of private investment in driving the nation’s ambitious growth agenda.
“Today marks another milestone in this consultative process focused on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation,” he stated. “Our goal is to mobilize the private sector to fund the execution of this development vision. I’m delighted to report that over 700 investors from allied nations have joined us for this gathering.”
The gathering drew top business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives, underscoring the forum’s role as a key platform for dialogue. The Prime Minister highlighted the event’s dual purpose: fostering collaboration with private actors while aligning on a shared development roadmap.
“By aligning your efforts with ours, you affirm your confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth prospects,” he told the audience. “Your role as partners is indispensable in turning our vision into reality—a more competitive, job-creating economy. Success hinges on your willingness to invest in this future.”
The government has designated the private sector as the primary engine of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. The Prime Minister reassured investors that the country’s economy, with its demonstrated resilience and adaptability, remains a standout performer in Africa. Over recent years, Côte d’Ivoire has maintained an average annual growth rate of 6.5%, reinforcing its status as one of the continent’s most dynamic economies.
“This is an economy in full expansion, and it’s yours to explore,” he declared. “Today’s sessions will fast-track investments in the PND’s priority sectors, including industrialization and local processing of raw materials to boost value addition, infrastructure development—particularly in transport, digital technology, and logistics—to enhance competitiveness, and investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services. Together, these efforts will propel a more productive, inclusive economy.”
The first day of the forum, dedicated to institutional partners and outlining Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, drew over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire itself.
Leaders from the private sector echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the Africa Committee of the French Business Movement (MEDEF), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice-President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their faith in the Ivorian authorities’ vision. They pledged substantial financial commitments to support the PND 2026-2030’s implementation.
