Maurice Kamto urges cameroonians: choose future or submission

Maurice Kamto, the national president of the Mouvement pour la renaissance du Cameroun (MRC), has issued a stirring call for renewed hope and unwavering resilience in the face of ongoing political challenges.

Following his established pattern for over a year, the prominent opposition figure releases a profound reflection each Monday, offering guidance and perspective.

“We are left with a stark choice: either extinguish our future and resign ourselves to perpetual submission, or rise up with the last remaining strength we possess—the single leg still standing, the solitary arm that moves, the one open eye that refuses to close, for it sees a future where others perceive only void. I will not relinquish my conviction in the triumph of reason. I refuse to lose this wager. For beyond the societal tremors, the primal collective impulses, the irrationality, and the hatreds, it is the illuminating light of consciousness that guides the journey of nations. This light will ultimately redeem Cameroon. It will uplift Africa,” Maurice Kamto declared.

The leader of the Mouvement pour la renaissance du Cameroun further articulated that the revitalization of Cameroon is envisioned not merely as a national objective, but as the fundamental driving force and symbolic beacon for the entire African continent’s resurgence.
