With the Champions League final now concluded, Paris Saint-Germain’s leadership is reportedly preparing to launch its pursuit of Julian Alvarez. The capital club intends to submit an offer to secure the Argentine forward from Atlético de Madrid, who are understood to be demanding a fee exceeding €100 million.

During the summer of 2024, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi’s PSG made an unsuccessful attempt to sign Julian Alvarez. Unfortunately for the Parisian giants, the 26-year-old attacker opted instead to join Atlético de Madrid. It is worth recalling that the Colchoneros secured his services from the Citizens with an offer reported to be around €75 million.
Alvarez transfer: PSG prepares an offensive bid
Despite being overlooked by Julian Alvarez two years ago, PSG has not abandoned its interest in him. Indeed, Luis Campos has reportedly reactivated efforts to bring the Argentine international to the club, aiming to present him to Luis Enrique this summer. Reports indicate that PSG’s sporting management recently held discussions with Fernando Hidalgo. The Parisian club reportedly expressed its interest to Julian Alvarez’s agent and made a specific request. With PSG having competed in the Champions League final, a postponement of negotiations was requested to prevent any internal tensions that could disrupt preparations for such a crucial match.
Atlético demands over €100M for Alvarez
Atlético de Madrid is reportedly awaiting an offer significantly exceeding €100 million for the transfer of Julian Alvarez. Having secured the Champions League title for the second consecutive year, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi’s PSG is expected to soon make a formal proposal to the Colchoneros for their number 19. The key question remains whether Julian Alvarez will agree to join PSG this time around.
