Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, focused on private investment, was inaugurated today at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé. Over 700 investors from partner nations attended the high-level gathering, marking a pivotal moment in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic trajectory.
The Prime Minister highlighted the forum as a critical platform to unlock private capital essential for driving the country’s development ambitions. In his address, he emphasized the invaluable role of business leaders and investors in shaping a shared vision for sustainable growth and job creation.
Addressing a room filled with entrepreneurs, investors, and private sector representatives, Robert Beugré Mambé underscored the forum’s dual purpose: fostering direct dialogue with private stakeholders and aligning collective efforts toward a cohesive development strategy. He remarked, « Your unwavering commitment to Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential reflects the confidence you place in its future. As key partners, your investments will be instrumental in building a more competitive and employment-generating economy. »
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors of the nation’s economic resilience, citing an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years despite global uncertainties. Côte d’Ivoire stands out as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies, offering a thriving market brimming with opportunities.
« Today, we present you with an expanding market ripe for investment, » he declared. « This session will accelerate capital flow into priority sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local value addition in raw materials, strategic infrastructure development—particularly in transport, digital technology, and logistics—and investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services to foster a productive and inclusive economy. »
He noted that the first day of the forum, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including local stakeholders.
In a show of solidarity, leaders of major business confederations echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the African Committee of the French Business Movement (MEDEF), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), all reiterated their confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s leadership and pledged substantial financial commitments to support the PND 2026-2030.
