Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, focused on investors, was officially launched by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé at the Abidjan Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire.
The event marked a pivotal moment in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic strategy, with over 700 investors from friendly nations gathering to explore opportunities aligned with the country’s ambitious growth agenda. Robert Beugré Mambé highlighted the critical role of private sector participation in driving the nation’s development trajectory. « This gathering is not just about dialogue; it’s about forging a shared vision for economic expansion and job creation,» he emphasized.
Addressing a packed room of business leaders, corporate representatives, and international investors, the Prime Minister underscored the importance of private investment in achieving Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He praised the nation’s economic resilience, noting an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years, positioning Côte d’Ivoire as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies.
« Investors, you are the backbone of this ambition. Your commitment is a vote of confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s potential, and your investments will be instrumental in building a more competitive, job-rich economy,» Robert Beugré Mambé stated. He stressed that the government is prioritizing the private sector as the key driver of economic change, with a focus on sectors such as industrialization, infrastructure, human capital development, and digital innovation.
The Prime Minister outlined the PND 2026-2030’s strategic priorities, including:
- Industrialization and local processing of raw materials to boost value addition;
- Infrastructure expansion in transport, digital connectivity, and logistics to enhance competitiveness;
- Human capital investment and innovation to foster a more productive and inclusive economy.
He also revealed that the first day of the Consultative Group, dedicated to institutional partners, had already attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire itself.
In a show of strong support, leaders from major business federations and financial institutions reaffirmed their commitment to Côte d’Ivoire’s vision. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises of Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), alongside Mehdi Tazi (President of the Moroccan Confederation of Enterprises, CGEM) and Mohamed Gouled (Vice President of the International Finance Corporation, IFC), expressed readiness to contribute through substantial financial commitments to the PND 2026-2030.
