Coventry City, fresh off their promotion to the Premier League for the 2026-2027 season, has officially confirmed the permanent acquisition of Frank Onyeka from Brentford. The Nigerian midfielder now joins the Sky Blues on a full-time basis.
The Nigerian international initially arrived at City on loan last January, and his definitive transfer from the Bees was activated with the official opening of the summer transfer window. Onyeka played a pivotal role in manager Frank Lampard’s squad securing the Sky Bet Championship title, making 14 appearances and scoring a fantastic goal during a crucial encounter against Derby County in April.
The 28-year-old brings significant Premier League experience to his new club, having featured in 75 top-flight matches during his time at Brentford. The precise duration of his new contract has not been publicly disclosed.
