Aminata touré critiques ousmane sonko’s prime ministerial tenure

During a recent press briefing, Aminata Touré, the general supervisor of the Diomaye Président coalition, offered her perspective on the dismissal of former Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko.

Touré contended that Ousmane Sonko’s period as prime minister ultimately culminated in failure, directly leading to his removal from office. She remarked with clear irony, stating, “We appointed you Prime Minister, entrusted you with critical dossiers, but you were unable to achieve anything with them, and so we dismissed you.”

Aminata Touré further emphasized that true courage and leadership involve actively addressing the problems faced by Senegalese citizens. This, she articulated, necessitates deploying one’s competencies, strategic insights, and network, rather than simply exercising prerogatives for two years without delivering concrete solutions to the challenges confronting the people of Senegal.
