Paris clubs set for Ligue 1 2026-27 opener dates against Marseille

The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) has begun rolling out the fixtures for the upcoming 2026-27 Ligue 1 season, giving fans early insight into the campaign. Paris Saint-Germain and Paris FC now know their opening-day schedules, including their highly anticipated clashes with Olympique de Marseille.

PSG’s demanding launch to Ligue 1

Defending champions Paris Saint-Germain will kick off their title defense on the weekend of August 21–23 at home against Stade Rennais at Parc des Princes. Their second fixture takes them to Lille, followed by a home meeting with AS Monaco in their third match of the season. With no respite before the international break in mid-September, Luis Enrique’s side faces an intense start.

The first major showdown arrives on September 20, when PSG travels to Marseille for the season’s opening Classique at the Vélodrome. The return leg at Parc des Princes is set for February 7, 2027, offering fans a winter highlight.

Paris FC’s balanced opening fixture list

Paris FC, the city’s second club, faces a slightly lighter start. Their campaign begins away at promoted Troyes on matchday one. They then host OGC Nice at Stade Jean-Bouin before a challenging run includes trips to Marseille and Lyon, along with a home game against Strasbourg at high altitude.

Their schedule suggests a progressive buildup, allowing Kombouaré’s side to adapt gradually to Ligue 1’s demands.
