Diplomatic relations between Morocco and The Gambia have entered a new phase of collaboration in Rabat. Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita held discussions this Thursday with his Gambian counterpart, Sering Modou Njie, who visited the Kingdom’s capital as a special envoy for President Adama Barrow.

The central purpose of this visit was the delivery of a written message from the Gambian Head of State, addressed directly to Mohammed VI, highlighting the close communication channels between the two leaders.

Following the meeting, The Gambian Foreign Minister addressed the media, conveying his government’s and people’s profound appreciation for the Alawite monarch.

Njie commended Morocco’s unwavering support for The Gambia’s socio-economic development, emphasizing that this commitment translates into tangible results through the signing of numerous bilateral agreements and the implementation of strategic projects that are already directly benefiting the populace.
