The Senate of Cameroon is fully prepared for the opening of its June 2026 ordinary session on June 9, 2026.

In a display of administrative rigor, Mr. Gustave Léopold Ngane, Secretary General of the Senate, accompanied by the Deputy Secretary General and senior officials, conducted a comprehensive inspection this morning, June 8, 2026, of the Senate facilities at the Economic and Social Council.

This final assessment aimed to verify the readiness of all essential infrastructures required for the smooth conduct of parliamentary proceedings. The delegation meticulously examined conference halls, the VIP reception lounge, banquet rooms, and the main hemicycle where senators will convene throughout the session.

Following the inspection, the Secretary General expressed full confidence in the operational readiness of all facilities. He confirmed that all logistical and technical preparations had been finalized in anticipation of the session’s opening.

The June ordinary session, in line with parliamentary tradition, will primarily focus on budgetary discussions, strategic exchanges between the Upper House and the Supreme Court’s Audit Chamber, and the thorough review and adoption of legislative proposals.
