World football’s governing body has extended its warmest congratulations to Argentina’s national team following their impressive run at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States.
The Argentine Football Association (AFA) publicly shared a letter from FIFA President Gianni Infantino on Wednesday, in which he praised the Albiceleste for their outstanding achievements throughout the tournament. The letter came just days after Argentina’s narrow 1-0 extra-time defeat to Spain in the final match.
