King Mohamed VI presented a comprehensive assessment of Morocco’s current trajectory, addressing three critical pillars: the nation’s unwavering stability and security, which foster public confidence and optimism; robust economic growth driven by industrialization and technological advancement—now reaching 80% self-sufficiency in food, pharmaceuticals, and automotive manufacturing; and the accelerated development of green energy initiatives, particularly green hydrogen. The monarch also emphasized the urgent need to tackle persistent inequality, ensuring macroeconomic gains translate into tangible improvements for all regions.
The sovereign stressed the importance of accelerating integration efforts, affirming that “while advancing economic progress, we remain committed to human development initiatives and expanding social protection to enhance living standards and achieve social and spatial justice.”
In his address, the king called for mobilizing national savings to consolidate recent achievements and embark on a new phase of sustained national projects following the upcoming September 2026 legislative elections.
To mark Throne Day, His Majesty granted clemency to 1,788 individuals, including both detainees and those at liberty, as announced by the Ministry of Justice.

“Praise be to God, prayers and peace be upon the Prophet, his family, and companions.
Dear people,
With immense pride and deep satisfaction, we celebrate the 27th anniversary of our accession to the throne. Twenty-seven years ago, divine will entrusted me with the noble mission of leading your destiny. The task has been monumental.
In resonance with the Almighty’s words, ‘If you are grateful, I will certainly increase you in favor,’ we express our gratitude for guiding us toward success in fulfilling your aspirations.
Never have personal glory or the pursuit of continental or international leadership been my goals. My sole concern has always been to serve you with excellence, ensuring all Moroccans live with dignity as free citizens.
Today, reviewing our collective achievements fills me with honor and pride, instilling confidence in our future.
Rather than personal satisfaction, this milestone evokes a profound sense of trust and serenity—empowering us to forge ahead with renewed determination.
Our progress is no coincidence; it stems from a clear strategic vision and a governance doctrine rooted in initiative-taking, rigorous follow-through, constructive self-criticism, and a resolute commitment to progress.
Dear people,
Morocco stands at a pivotal juncture in its development journey, where optimism must prevail over rhetoric that breeds despair. Nothing fills us with greater pride than the stability and security that define our nation, coupled with the efficient functioning of public institutions.
In a region plagued by turmoil and global tensions, Morocco’s political and institutional stability is a rare and invaluable asset. Today, stability is the linchpin of our development and our nation’s proudest strategic capital.
Dear people,
With a millennia-old history, Morocco draws strength from its ancestral traditions of nationhood, where institutions operate in harmony to drive progress. This cohesion enables the country to overcome challenges and deliver results despite constraints.
Our success in organizing major continental and international events has earned global admiration—though not without attracting envy on occasion. Morocco has also demonstrated remarkable resilience in crises, such as the proactive management of floods in the Gharb and northern regions.
Underpinned by stability and institutional efficiency, positive indicators across all sectors are multiplying, reinforcing economic momentum and safeguarding national sovereignty.
In 2025, our growth rate reached 4.9%, with projections for an equal or higher rate in 2026. Agriculture has thrived thanks to abundant rainfall and a strong harvest season, strengthening our water and food security.
The automotive, aeronautics, renewable energy, and agro-industrial sectors now form the backbone of our productive fabric, attracting investment and generating wealth and jobs. Morocco has become Africa’s top automotive exporter, with an annual production capacity of nearly one million vehicles. These sectors now account for over 40% of total exports, surpassing phosphates.
Earlier this year, we inaugurated new industrial units, positioning Morocco among the elite group of countries equipped with major hubs for aircraft engine and landing gear manufacturing.
Our renewable energy strategy is also gaining momentum. The operational rollout of the ‘Morocco Green Hydrogen Offer’ has begun, with authorization granted to a first wave of megaprojects.
Dear people,
In an era marked by resurgent protectionism and supply chain security imperatives, we have prioritized strengthening national sovereignty and strategic self-sufficiency. This is evident in our agro-industrial and pharmaceutical sectors, which now cover nearly 80% of domestic needs.
The establishment of an industrial and technological defense and cybersecurity base will gradually consolidate our defense sovereignty while creating development opportunities, reinforcing our status as a regional powerhouse in these sectors.
Alongside economic growth, we continue to deploy multiple human development initiatives, particularly through the universalization of social protection. Our goal is to improve living conditions and achieve social and spatial justice.
We emphasize the need for efficient implementation of integrated territorial development programs, ensuring no region is left behind.
The economic and social transformation requires unprecedented financial resources, primarily from domestic savings. We urge the national financial sector to support investment, expand access to financing for SMEs, innovation, industrialization, and exports, and optimize the mobilization of national savings—especially institutional—to revitalize financial markets and accelerate Morocco’s emergence.
Dear people,
With divine grace, Morocco has solidified its position as a credible, respected, and influential international actor. The Kingdom is now a leading economic player and a sought-after partner in forward-looking, balanced collaborations.
As a confident and transparent nation, we can address our partners with clarity on bilateral and global issues, proposing constructive partnerships and promising cooperation initiatives. By diversifying our partnerships, we strengthen our capabilities and expand our influence across all domains.
Dear people,
These economic and social achievements transcend government and parliamentary mandates. They are the result of a cumulative, virtuous dynamic spanning years, driven by the country’s strategic vision and wise choices.
We hope that after the upcoming legislative elections and the formation of a new government, a new chapter in our development trajectory will begin—one defined by preserving achievements and advancing major reforms.
Dear people,
The celebration of the Glorious Throne Day is an opportunity to reaffirm our pride in and appreciation for the Royal Armed Forces, the Royal Gendarmerie, territorial administration, national security, auxiliary forces, and civil protection. Their unwavering dedication under our command defends national unity and safeguards the country’s security and stability.
We also honor the memory of our nation’s martyrs, foremost among them Our Grandfather, the late King Mohammed V, and Our Father, the late King Hassan II, may God have mercy upon them.
In closing, we recall the verse: ‘God does not wrong those who do good.’
Wassalamu alaikoum wa rahmatoullah wa barakatouh.”
