Liverpool’s five summer solutions for Bradley Barcola transfer

Bradley Barcola is currently in North America with the French national team for the World Cup (11 June – 19 July). The Paris Saint-Germain winger, under contract until June 2028, could become a major talking point in the coming weeks. Liverpool are keeping a close eye on him, seeking to rejuvenate their attacking unit.

PSG’s attacking uncertainty opens the door

Paris Saint-Germain’s forward line could see changes during the summer transfer window. While Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Désiré Doué, Senny Mayulu and Ousmane Dembélé are all set to stay, the future of Gonçalo Ramos, Ibrahim Mbaye, Kang-in Lee and Bradley Barcola is less clear. Barcola has been on Liverpool’s radar for several months, and the impending arrival of Victor Muñoz at Anfield does not diminish the Reds’ interest.

Yan Diomande remains Liverpool’s priority

Liverpool are prioritising the signing of another speedy winger for next season: Yan Diomande. The RB Leipzig attacker is also a target for PSG. The 19-year-old said after Côte d’Ivoire’s 1-0 win against Ecuador in the World Cup opener: “I don’t know, I’m a RB Leipzig player, but why not? My agents handle that. I’m focused on the World Cup; it’s every four years. So I’m making the most of it, and we’ll see about the rest.”

Liverpool’s alternatives to Diomande

However, due to Leipzig’s €100 million asking price and PSG’s competition, Liverpool are exploring other possibilities. Bradley Barcola is one of them. The others are Said El Mala (Cologne), Yankuba Minteh (Brighton) and Matias Fernandez-Pardo (Lille). The Reds are preparing a shortlist of five potential solutions as they aim to strengthen their attack this summer.
