Mali military operations yield significant results
The Malian army has announced that it has killed around 100 armed men during military operations conducted with the support of its partners in the Anfif and Tabrachat regions in the north of the country.
According to a statement released by the army, these operations targeted fighters belonging to the ‘Al-Nusra for Islam and Muslims’ group and the ‘Front for the Liberation of Azawad’, with 13 aerial strikes also destroying six combat vehicles and a pickup truck.
The army stated that these operations took place on Tuesday and are part of its ongoing campaign against armed groups in different parts of the country, emphasizing its commitment to carrying out military operations ‘with discipline and firmness’ in coordination with its partners.
A statement from the African Corps also reported that the operation resulted in the destruction of a large number of vehicles belonging to militants, adding that a drone owned by the corps targeted another vehicle transporting ammunition and military equipment.
The Russian Africa Corps stated that these operations fit into the framework of ‘fruitful joint operations’ conducted with Malian army forces against regional militant groups, affirming its continued targeting of militant positions and equipment.
