On July 31, 2026, Mali’s Ministry of Security and Civil Protection took a significant step toward strengthening national security by handing over twenty specialized vehicles and equipment to the country’s security forces. The donation, entirely financed through the national budget, marks a pivotal moment in the government’s commitment to bolster operational capabilities across multiple agencies.

Equipment Distribution Enhances Multiple Security Sectors

The ceremony, led by General of Division Daoud Aly MOHAMMEDINE, included a diverse range of vehicles tailored to the needs of Mali’s security institutions. Among the assets distributed were six 60-seat buses, a recovery vehicle, two 20,000-liter water tankers, eight 4,000-liter fire trucks, and three 50,000-liter fire-fighting tanker-pump trucks. These resources were allocated to the National Police, Civil Protection, National Gendarmerie, National Guard, and the Staff School of the Security Forces.

General MOHAMMEDINE emphasized that these acquisitions reflect the vision of General of Army Assimi, President of the Transition, to elevate the operational readiness of Mali’s Armed and Security Forces. General of Brigade Boucary KODIO, Director General of Civil Protection, underscored the commitment of beneficiary agencies to utilize these assets responsibly. The event concluded with a live demonstration of the fire trucks, showcasing their operational efficiency in simulated emergency scenarios.
