Côte d’Ivoire rallies global investors for 2026-2030 development plan
Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé inaugurated the second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, bringing together over 700 investors to drive the nation’s economic future.
The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group kicked off in Abidjan on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.
«This marks another milestone in our consultative investment-focused initiative designed to unlock private capital essential for realizing our development goals,» stated Robert Beugré Mambé. «I am particularly encouraged by the presence of over 700 investors from friendly nations who have joined this crucial dialogue.»
The Prime Minister addressed a packed room of business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives who traveled to Abidjan to participate in this pivotal event. He emphasized that this gathering serves as a vital platform for fostering collaboration with the private sector while aligning on a shared vision for the nation’s future.
«Dear partners, your commitment alongside us reflects the confidence you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth trajectory,» he remarked. «You are indispensable allies in transforming our economy into a more competitive and job-creating powerhouse. The success of this vision hinges on your willingness to invest in our shared future.»
Highlighting the government’s strategic pivot toward private sector-led economic transformation, the Prime Minister reassured investors that Côte d’Ivoire’s resilient economy—with an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years—remains one of Africa’s most dynamic markets.
«Today, you stand before an economy on the rise,» he affirmed. «This session will accelerate investments in key sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local value addition for raw materials, infrastructure development—particularly in transport, digital technology, and logistics—to enhance competitiveness, human capital investment, innovation, and essential services that will propel our economy toward greater productivity and inclusivity.»
The Prime Minister also noted that the first day of the Consultative Group, focused on institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire itself.
In response, leaders from the private sector echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the Africa Committee of France’s MEDEF, and Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), pledged their full support for Côte d’Ivoire’s development vision. They committed to substantial financial contributions to ensure the successful implementation of the PND 2026-2030.
