During a landmark gathering in Abidjan, Ivory Coast’s Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé convened the second day of the National Development Plan (PND) Consultative Group, drawing over 700 domestic and international investors to discuss economic growth strategies for 2026–2030.

The Prime Minister emphasized the pivotal role of private investment in driving the country’s economic agenda forward.

“This session marks a critical milestone in our collective effort to unlock the full potential of Ivory Coast’s economy. We are witnessing an unprecedented level of engagement from more than 700 investors who have traveled from partner nations to be part of this transformative journey,” stated Robert Beugré Mambé.

The Prime Minister highlighted the private sector as the cornerstone of Ivory Coast’s economic modernization, underscoring the nation’s reputation for resilience and steady growth—averaging 6.5% annually over recent years. He positioned the country as one of Africa’s fastest-growing economies, offering a thriving market brimming with opportunities.

The PND 2026–2030 prioritizes several high-impact areas, including:

  • Industrialization and local value addition – transforming raw materials into finished goods to boost exports and create wealth;
  • Strategic infrastructure – expanding transport networks, digital connectivity, and logistics to enhance competitiveness;
  • Human capital development – investing in education, innovation, and services to build a more skilled and productive workforce.

The Prime Minister called the initiative a “catalyst for inclusive growth,” stressing that private sector participation was essential to turning vision into reality.

Representatives from leading business federations and financial institutions echoed the government’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivory Coast Enterprises (CGECI), alongside senior executives from France’s MEDEF and Morocco’s CGEM, joined Mohamed Gouled of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in pledging substantial financial commitments to the PND 2026–2030.

“We stand ready to contribute decisively to the implementation of this plan,” affirmed the collective. Their endorsements reflect a shared belief in Ivory Coast’s long-term potential and its role as a regional economic hub.

This ambitious consultative process, which included over 3,000 participants from 49 countries during its first day, underscores Ivory Coast’s proactive approach to fostering public-private collaboration as the engine of sustainable development.
