The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, focused on investors, kicked off on Thursday, July 9, 2026, in Abidjan at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.

“Today marks a new phase in this Consultative Group dedicated to investment, enterprise, and value creation. Our goal is to mobilize the private investments required to implement this development ambition. I am pleased to note that we have welcomed over 700 investors from friendly nations participating in this event,” declared Robert Beugré Mambé.

With business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives making the journey to Abidjan, the Head of Government emphasized that this gathering serves as an ideal platform for dialogue with private sector actors, fostering a shared vision for development.

“Dear partners, through your commitment alongside us, you are upholding the trust placed in the Ivorian economy’s growth prospects and its potential. You play a crucial role in turning our ambition into a more competitive and job-creating economy. The success of this vision also hinges on the private sector’s willingness to invest,” he stated.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the government has designated the private sector as the primary driver of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors that the country’s economy, which has demonstrated resilience and adaptability over the years with an average growth rate of 6.5%, maintains its position among Africa’s most dynamic economies.

“This is an expanding market presenting vast opportunities for you, investors. Today’s activities will accelerate investments in the PND 2026-2030 priority sectors, particularly industrialization and local processing of raw materials to generate greater added value, the development of strategic infrastructure—including transport, digital technology, and logistics—to enhance competitiveness and attractiveness, and investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services that will drive a more productive and inclusive economy,” he stressed.

Robert Beugré Mambé recalled that the first day, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, saw participation from over 3,000 attendees from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire.

On behalf of investors, the President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), Ahmed Cissé, the Vice-President and Chair of the Africa Committee of the French Business Movement (MEDEF), the President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), Mehdi Tazi, and the Vice-President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Mohamed Gouled, reaffirmed their confidence in the Ivorian authorities’ vision. They pledged “full commitment to implementing the PND 2026-2030” through substantial financial contributions.
