The second day of Côte d’Ivoire’s National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group convened in Abidjan at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, presided over by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé. This investor-focused session brought together more than 700 global business leaders eager to fuel the country’s economic transformation.

Speaking to the assembled investors, the Prime Minister emphasized the critical role of private sector participation in driving Côte d’Ivoire’s development agenda. “This marks a pivotal moment in our consultative process, where we unite around investment, enterprise, and value creation,” he stated. “The presence of over 700 investors from friendly nations demonstrates the growing confidence in our economic vision.

In a packed hall filled with business executives and private sector delegates, Beugré Mambé highlighted the event as a vital platform for fostering public-private collaboration and aligning shared developmental goals. “Your presence here reflects the trust you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth trajectory,” he noted. “As key partners, you are instrumental in turning our vision into reality—a more competitive, job-creating economy.

The Prime Minister underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the engine of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors that the country’s robust economic resilience—demonstrated by an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years—secures its standing among Africa’s most dynamic economies.

“This is an economy on the rise, offering unparalleled opportunities for investment,” he declared. “Today’s discussions will unlock critical investments in priority sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030—industrialization, local raw material processing to boost value addition, strategic infrastructure development (transport, digital, logistics), human capital investment, innovation, and essential services that foster a more productive and inclusive economy.“

Beugré Mambé also noted that the first day of the Consultative Group, focused on institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire itself.

In response, top business leaders voiced their strong support for the government’s vision. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the Africa Committee of the French Business Movement (MEDEF), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice-President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their commitment to Côte d’Ivoire’s development plan. They pledged substantial financial backing to ensure the successful implementation of the PND 2026-2030.
