The Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) reported on Thursday that coordinated military operations in the northern regions of Anfif and Tabrachat resulted in the elimination of nearly a hundred armed combatants.
According to an official statement, the operations targeted members of the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) and the Azauad Liberation Front (FLA). Thirteen airstrikes were carried out, destroying six combat vehicles and a pickup truck.
The military confirmed that these operations took place on Tuesday, reaffirming their commitment to sustain military campaigns against armed groups across Mali. Forces are operating with discipline and determination, in close collaboration with allied partners to dismantle insurgent networks.
The Russian Africa Corps shared on the platform X that the strikes successfully disabled and set ablaze multiple militant vehicles. A reconnaissance drone, deployed by the Corps, also struck a vehicle transporting ammunition and military equipment, further crippling their logistical capabilities.
The Russian Africa Corps described the operations as highly effective joint missions alongside Malian troops, vowing to continue targeting militant strongholds and equipment to weaken their operational capacity.
